What does the Tv Ident mean?
The Ident's structure consists of the globe in the center with the two eyes spinning inside of it, there is then a pair of "Bat Wings" that cover both sides of the globe. In the early 1950's this was the only channel being broadcasted around the world, and the eyes within the globe are being used as a visual represenation for that. In other words its showing that all eyes or on the BBC, the use of the globe stays prominant within all of the BBC's following idents which represents the channel as not only the worlds first, but the worlds best broadcasting service.The main perpouse of this ident is to establish the identit of the BBC as the leader of television broadcasting, there had never been a Tv ident before this one which also revolutionised the tv industry.
